I have the 4-arm version, and after 2 weeks I’m very happy with it. I have 2 feeders hanging on opposite sides, and likely will add a small suet feeder to one of the vacant arms in fall, leaving 1 arm unused.
I bought an additional 26” pole section, so the hooks are about 109 inches up, keeping the seed-catching trays beneath the feeders higher of the ground. I was warned by the company that adding that extra section would add flex to the system, but so far that hasn’t been a serious problem. There is a slight pole bend toward the heavier feeder, but it’s only 2-3” at the top.
I saw a complaint that the top can be rotated by wind, & I agree, but I think that’s an advantage. I plan to manually rotate the arms so the seed that falls over the edges of the trays will be distributed around the circle, rather than be concentrated at just the same 2 spots. If the rotation becomes a problem, screwing the joints together, or merely taping them tight with black tape should stop it.
Screwing the anchor into the ground was hard work. Thoroughly soaking that spot first will probably help. The materials seems solid and the pieces are well-made. I highly recommend this bird feeder pole system.
Was tempted to order a cheap bird feeder stand on amazon but found this recommendation via chatgpt and was surprised it was local to Chicago and easy to pick up. Super sturdy and built to last, easy to assemble and install, looks nice and the birds love it. Highly recommend!
We are so satisfied with the first system we have now had over 20 years when we went to replace the one in the back yard Erva was a natural choice.
Extremely sturdy and easy to assemble. Very pleased with company’s customer service with same day email replies and fast shipment.
This is the second Erva multi-arm bird feeder pole I have ordered. I got one 2 weeks ago and I liked it so much that I bought another one. I ordered the squirrel baffle with both them, and so far they seem to be working. These poles are very sturdy and easy to assemble. The shipping was very quick. I love sitting on the porch and watching all the birds at these feeding stations.
