I don't understand how these things work; it's like a miracle! I live in southern Arizona where it's quite warm most of the year. My 3 Erva bird bath dishes used to accumulate algae to the point where I had to clean them with hydrogen peroxide literally every other day in the summer, and once or twice a week the rest of the year. But placing one of these copper discs in each has eliminated or greatly reduced the algae resulting in a savings of time and money for me, and cleaner water for thirsty wild birds in the desert. Thank you, Erva, for this ingenious invention!
