My experience is that these discs also act as an ionic larvicide to help control mosquito larvae development and other parasites like pin worms. Since utilizing these discs in four different baths, I've noticed that all forms of worms have entirely disappeared. The copper ions that inhibit the growth of algae, bacteria, and fungi, also inhibit the growth of other parasitic pests in standing bird water. Birds, squirrels and neighborhood dogs may all drink safely.
They work! I was frustrated having to scrub my cement birdbath often . It was difficult and not very good. disk keeps the grime out. Easier to clean about once a month.
Water was still dirty after use all season. Save your money. Look at some other device/ technique to keep your water clean.
Didn’t help my baths at all. My birds were scared of them and stopped coming’ I tried to let them get use to it for days but no luck. Water was just as dirty before use. Oh well!
My bird bath water has never been so clean. A great deal.
